A shot of fresh oxygen in the middle of a savage and preserved nature. You will barely have the time to put down your luggage that the nearby river will whisper the Papermill's story since 1645. The water is omnipresent around the B&B, therefore, you could maybe try out the crayfish or trout fishing, or maybe will you have a taste of the joyful bathes in the river before taking a nap under the century old firs, cradled by the stream who once span the papermill wheel. Once the urge for adventure and discovery will become too strong, maybe you will let yourself wander on the mythical GR65 hiking paths (Santiago de Compostela road) or the GR 430 (St Régis road) Aussi l’envie d’aventure et de découverte devenant trop forte ! vous laisserez vous aller sur les sentiers de randonnée du mythique GR65 (chemin de St-Jacques de Compostelle) ou du GR430 (chemin de St Régis) to find stunning landscapes with the Velay volcanos and the Mezenc mount (1753m) as an often background.
Thanks to our hiking sheets lasting from 1 to 4 hours, the countryside around Tence will surprise you with it's hilly landscapes, sources and streams, lakes and numerous middle mountain rivers, its green meadows, forests covered in blueberries and mushrooms... Maybe will you even encounter a Compostela pilgrim from Switzerland or Germany?
Back at the house, in the evening, you will be able to relax in the outdoor Spa or Sauna or get a massage by Sylvie, before discovering a regional cuisine with specialities from Auvergne cooked with fresh and local products. During your hikes, an unexpected historical and rural heritage awaits you; like the small timeless hamlets with beautiful typical XVIIIth and XIXth farms, built in granit and with flat stone or thatch roofs, with strong arched facades, but also tiny "beate" mounted with a bell tower. You will be able to admire beautiful stone crosses sculpted in ancient menhirs and many other things...
